Community Courses

If you would like to organise an organic growing course for your group, funding is available through the Community Education Office of Louth Meath Education and Training Board, Chapel Street, Dundalk.

Contact Eamonn Quinn, Community Education Facilitator, LMETB, Dundalk for more information on equinn@lmetb.ie

In 2020, Community Education supported the Cooley Connect Well Group in North Louth with two Organic Gardening Courses during the summer and autumn terms. These courses each ran for 2 hours a week over a 6 week period in Glenmore in the Cooley Peninsula. The support provided by the Community Education Office means that the course can run in your community, anywhere in Louth and it can be tailored to the needs and wishes of your individula group.

Some feedback from the Cooley Connect Well Community Group

Roisin tutored two Organic Gardening Classes for our community group in 2020, supported by LMETB and they were the highlight of what was a very challenging year! Roisin has a unique way of teaching and easily engaged both the beginners and the more experienced gardeners who attended. Her warmth and passion for growing organically enabled many to start and others to enhance their vison of growing organic fruit and vegetables as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle”
